Show Begins in

Square Foot Show began as a small, annual art party at Julia Veenstra’s studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada—each piece just 12×12 and at a single price. Since 2020, it has exploded into an online “Black Friday of art,” with collectors and artists spanning the globe and many artists selling out in just minutes. We love nothing more than connecting thousands of collectors from across the world with incredible artwork from artists they might never otherwise encounter, all through our fun and fast-paced virtual shows.

The fun continues with September’s Autumn show,  featuring a roster of 28 incredible artists selected by our jury of fellow artists and collectors. Held on the 2nd Thursday of each month for 24 hours, these shows bring bold, curated collections to life in an exciting and fast-paced format. We recognize that current events make multi-national events like this complicated. To help bring clarity, we’ve increased transparency around the origin of artwork and have written a brief letter on cross-border challenges.

Join the fun! Subscribe today for a chance to win an original painting “Round The Bend”, by Ruth LaGue.

🇨🇦 Carol-Anne Almquist (@carolannealmquist) is an artist living on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, known for her landscapes of local scenes and expressive florals.

She works in watercolour, acrylic, and oil, painting in a loose, expressive style influenced by her practice of mindfulness and meditation.

Carol-Anne participates every year in the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl, which is attended by art lovers from all over the world. A member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the IWS Watercolour Society, she has won awards, and her work is displayed at the Coastal Art Gallery in Gibsons, BC.

She has been featured in The Art of Watercolour magazine, and in 2023 and 2024 her paintings appeared on the cover of the Sunshine Coast phone book. She is also listed in the book Artists of British Columbia by Leighdon Art Studios and has been a guest artist on Artist in the House, a TV series from Eastlink TV.

A returning guest of the Square Foot Show, she is happy to be part of this year’s event once again.

🇺🇸 Natalie Bella (@artbynataliebella) is a Las Vegas-based oil and mixed media artist whose work explores light as both subject and metaphor. Through florals, feminine figures, and atmospheric landscapes, she layers ink washes, acrylics, and oils to create paintings that invite you to slow down - and look inward. Her work is rooted in the belief that beauty is not decorative but essential: that peeling back the layers of our human experience reveals the inner light we all carry.

Before picking up a brush full-time, Natalie spent nearly two decades as a software engineer. That shift - from logic to light - informs how she approaches her work: with intention, and a genuine hunger to keep learning. She studies art seriously and brings that same discipline to every canvas.

Her paintings have been shown in the Las Vegas Arts District and have found homes with collectors drawn to art that feels like a sanctuary rather than decoration. She works from her studio in Las Vegas, often with her cat Chloe nearby.

Natalie says: "I paint in search of luminous grace: the soft light that reminds us life is still beautiful."

Sylvie has exhibited widely in galleries and shows in Montreal and the surrounding area, and several times in Ontario.
