Show Begins in

Square Foot Show began as a small, annual art party at Julia Veenstra’s studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada—each piece just 12×12 and at a single price. Since 2020, it has exploded into an online “Black Friday of art,” with collectors and artists spanning the globe and many artists selling out in just minutes. We love nothing more than connecting thousands of collectors from across the world with incredible artwork from artists they might never otherwise encounter, all through our fun and fast-paced virtual shows.

The fun continues with August’s show “Sun & Sky” featuring a roster of 25 incredible artists selected by our jury of artists and collectors. Held on the 2nd Thursday of each month for 24 hours, these shows bring bold, curated collections to life in an exciting and fast-paced format. We recognize that current events make multi-national events like this complicated. To help bring clarity, we’ve increased transparency around the origin of artwork and have written a letter outlining the impact of tariffs on artists and collectors. Read the letter on Tariffs.

🇨🇦 Elena Dinissuk (@lenadv_art) is a Canadian landscape artist whose semi-abstract impressionist paintings celebrate the beauty, atmosphere, and emotion of the natural world. Working primarily in acrylics, she combines expressive palette knife techniques with large bristle brushes to create textured surfaces where light, movement, and layered colour come together.

Inspired by the lakes, rivers, rocky shorelines, and forests of Muskoka, Elena explores the ever-changing relationship between light, water, and sky. Through these landscapes, she evokes a sense of peace, reflection, and connection, encouraging viewers to pause and rediscover the restorative power of the Canadian landscape.

Elena’s distinctive style blends recognizable forms with abstraction, allowing each viewer to interpret her work through their own memories and emotions.

Since 2018, she has participated in numerous group and juried exhibitions across Ontario. Her work is represented by Cloud Gallery in Orillia, and she is an exhibiting member of Muskoka Arts & Crafts. Through her paintings, Elena celebrates the beauty and serenity of Canada’s landscapes while creating meaningful connections with collectors through texture, light, and emotion.

🇺🇸 Claire Bowen (@clairebowen.art) says: "I’ve always been involved in art, drawing and painting through childhood and studying art in college. Two themes recur in my work — elements of nature and aspects of the spiritual. I'm interested in the relationships among light, freedom, and color; and in the many ways nature links us to the Divine. Often my landscapes suggest aerial views that refer to flight and floating... a higher perspective from which we see the world differently. I use words, iconography, and pattern, and I have a fascination with the way old, worn surfaces convey so much human living. The hope is that, in my work, you’ll find a harmonious balance of rich texture, color, and pattern. Along with something a bit otherworldly."
